That Little Shop in Ashhurst

Locally Owned and Operated, The Boutique Bash is a family business located in the heart of the village. We opened our door in December 2015 with very humble beginnings. I knew zero about retail and most people thought we were a little bit crazy … but growing in up in Auckland … we could see the huge potential of Ashhurst. We strive to make out store a little bit beautiful that you can visit and walk away feeling inspired – whether you make a purchase or not.

We are about community, authenticity, culture and diversity, we want each person who visit our store to feel welcomed and comfortable.

A little bit about me … my name is Belinda Luamanu and myself and my husband John own The Boutique Bash – he’s the one who does all the handyman bits and I do the “buying”  – what I’m good at lol.

We have four beautiful children and we have lived in the Manawatu nearly 18 years, so it’s officially home.

We love all that Ashhurst offers, we have an incredible lifestyle here in the village with access to the river, walkways, cafes, pub meals, bush walking, scoop icecream in a hot summer day, the domain, local shops… Really we have everything at walking distance and to top it off we just have to look out of one of our windows to see a mountain range.
